What's For Lunch Wheel

How many times are you just sitting around with all your buddies and can't decide where the hell to eat?!?! This issue has plagued mankind for way too long, that's why you need a What's For Lunch Wheel ($4)! 16 different choices for lunch nom noms and the best part is that it's fun. Admit it dude, things like these are fun. Convenience store nachos, three martinis, DONUTS, I must admit I would be aiming for those three.

The Original Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine

Any regular old Sno-Cone machine is already an impressive piece of kitchenware, but with this one you gotta throw in some retro cool points because it's Snoopy. The Original Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine ($18) was introduced way back in 1979 and apparently was all the rage back then. Even if you weren't born back then (me!) this is still awesome to me because you should know it from reading Peanuts in the Sunday paper DUH!

Anybody can just snag some ice and use the machine to warp them into colorful and tasty treats just like magic. There's still like a solid month of summer left so if you haven't had your Sno-Cone this is your opportunity to get on that.

Kids Eat Free at IHOP Until Sept 13!

Friday, August 21, 2009

OK What UP! If you're a kid 12 and under or just look really young you get to eat at IHOP for free for the next few weeks. IHOP is encouraging fams to break out of their summer routines and get ready for back-to-school by giving out free food to the kids from 4-10 p.m. daily.

With the purchase of an adult entree, the kiddies get to pick a choice from the "Just for Kids" menu on the house. The offer is good for dine-in only and it's not valid with any other coupons or offers. IHOP points out a TIME mag article which says that kids who eat most often with their parents are most likely to get A's and B's and school so get on it! Here's a link to the menu.

ChefStack Automatic Pancake Machine

YIKES, imagine having this on your counter top after a long night of studying/ partying/ beaching/ bummin...everyone would worship you hahaha. The ChefStack Automatic Pancake Machine ($3,500) promises perfect, panless pancakes produced in a matter of seconds. And it just looks so dang cool, food machine that uses a conveyor belt already earned some points in my book.

The machine can kick out 4" pancakes as fast as 200 per hour. It uses an all-natural batter that's 97% fat-free and a serving of two pancakes has 165 calories. I'm personally gonna wait until the ChefStack 2.0 so it can make me chocolate chip nutella pancakes and then brush and floss my teeth after too.

Taco Bell to Roll Out New Breakfast Menu

Thursday, August 20, 2009

Recently, Taco Bell has been pushing its late night "fourth-meal" campaign. Now T.B. is going for the opposite time slot, as they are gonna drop a new a.m. breakfast menu in the near future. This new breakfast menu is gonna feature some well known brands, like Jimmy Dean sausage, Seattle's Best coffee, Dole produce and Cinnabon.

Of course already popular menu items like chalupas, gorditas and double-decker taco will also be worked into the new menu. DAMN, double-decker breakfast taco. Sounds muy bueno.

Tac B. is also planning on introducing more drinks as well as upgrading the meat used in their burritos, tacos and snacks. People like to call out T.B. about the latter, so kudos on that.

KFC Double Down Sandwich

Oh my lord can this be for real? KFC is testing a new item called the Double Down Sandwich. Check it out:

Jason from FoodGeekery snapped some pics and you probably gaining weight just by looking at them. The Double Down Sandwich is made from 2 Original Recipe Filets, Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese, Swiss Cheese and Colonel's Sauce.

But it's a sandwich right? Where's the bread? Ummm...KFC just decided to swap it out with those 2 Original Recipe Filets. I've seen some low carb sandwiches, like wrapped in lettuce...but this is a completely different animal. "So low-carb huh? Well bread has carbs... AWWW F&%$ that we'll just use fried chicken for bread!"

Hopefully this is serious and makes it to a nationwide release, cause don't you get the feeling that someone's gonna get real mad about it? Like health experts and heart doctors and stuff? That will be fun to watch. Welps, until then, if you are on that Atkins Diet feel free to start your happy dance right about now.
