The Big Mac...Umm actually...The Big Carl

This is the newest burger available at Carl's Jr. It's called The Big Carl. Ummm yeah put your thinking cap on for a quick second and you've got to realize that the name sounds very familiar to the boss of the fast food burgers: The Big Mac.

So why would Carl's Jr. flat-out out copy McDonald's signature burger? Carl's Jr. chief exec explains that "They came out with an Angus burger, which we feel is smaller and not as good (as ours), so we decided to come out with (something) like a Big Mac - only its bigger and lower priced."

Yeah, these two are just going at it, copying each others burger and putting their own little spin on it. Carl's isn't pulling any punches - "only its bigger and lower priced" LOL. The pic up top makes it look like The Big Carl has way more meat than bread, which is always an excellent ratio.

What's the difference?
The Big Carl is gonna cost $2.49 and has two 3.5-ounce charbroiled patties, two slices of cheese, whole leaf lettuce and Thousand Island-style spread on the burger all on a sesame seed bun. A Big Mac has two 1.6 oz beef patties, so first off you get more meat with the Carl's burger. Second, a Mac has pickles and onions and shredded lettuce, and probably the biggest diff is that third bun smack dab in the middle of the sandwich.

McDonald's probably wouldn't doesn't give a shit cause they have been dominating the fast wars since forever. This is just cool for the eaters because we get some better value and more choices to fill our bellies.
